Amazing stay with outstanding hospitality
I booked this property for two nights over a weekend based on the reviews here on Tripadvisor. I must say, the stay exceeded our expectations. The hospitality started even before we reached the place. Sanjay, the manager of this property called me when we were en route and informed that they are ready to receive us. When I told him that we have a 2:30PM safari booked, he said that he will ensure that our room is available before time and the lunch is by 1PM. The property has 5 rooms surrounded by plush greenery and lots of trees that makes it such a serene environment.
Our deluxe room was big, decorate with Warli theme. The bathroom was huge with all amenities and there was a separate enclosed sitout where you can chill. The chef personally prepared dishes of our choice for all three meals and the food was simply yummy. The chicken biryani, kadai paneer, crispy chilly babycorn, fish curry and coconut payasam are worth mentioning. All the staff were extremely helpful and took good care of us. Sanjay went out of the way to help me to book a safari for us at a very short notice.
The best thing about this resort is that it is just a 1 min drive to the safari point from where the gypsy/buses leave. So, you can have a relaxed breakfast or lunch and still reach for your safari slot on time. Thanks to Sanjay and team for a perfect holiday that we were longing for quite some time. From now on, I shall stay at Mangifera only if I am coming back to Bandipur or going to Ooty.
