  1. What is Destiny?
    Destiny is a farmstay in the Nilgiris. It is set amidst two hills and a pristine lake with a spa, horses, a working farm, and loads to do.
  2. Is Destiny Part of RCI or FHRAI?
    No. Destiny is a part of The Littlearth group, Ooty.
  3. Where is Destiny situated?
    Destiny is located 25 km from Ooty, off the Avalanche Road. Please see the route map provided.
  4. What is the elevation of Destiny?
    The elevation is about 1,989 m (6527 ft).
  5. How long will it take to reach Destiny?
    It will approximately take an hour and thirty minutes from Ooty, by car.
  6. How do I reach Destiny?
    You can drive up to the parking area (2 km before Destiny) or you can park at King’s cliff (Ooty). We can organise your transport to Destiny at an extra charge.
  7. Can I drive up to the resort?
    The last stretch requires a 4x4. So we request all our guests to park in our secured parking lot and then take our transportation to get to Destiny.
  8. How is the drive to the parking lot?
    It is mostly a tar road. The last 150 m is a rough and rocky mud road. Please do drive extremely slowly on this stretch.
  9. How is the drive from the parking lot to Destiny?
    It is roughly a 20 min drive on a rocky road. Part of the adventure begins here.
  10. What are the vehicles used for the shuttle?
    We use a 4x4 army truck. The 4x4 jeep comes at an extra cost.
  11. Is the drive safe?
    We have taken all precautions within our control to ensure that the ride is safe.
  12. Do you have any special transportation for senior people, and people with physical disabilities or impairments?
    Yes we do. Kindly let us know in advance so we can arrange for the jeep. The ride is less bumpy with the jeep.
  13. What is the frequency of the shuttle service from the parking lot to Destiny and vice versa?
    It is every hour on both routes.
  14. Where do you arrange for guests pick-up?
    We have an in-house travel desk. We can pick you up from all nearby places like Coimbatore, Mysore, Bangalore, etc. Please call reservations for details.
  15. Which is the right time to visit Destiny?
    We are open round the year.
    June to October is the rainy season (it rains in patches unless there is a depression in which case it rains incessantly)
    November to February are the colder months (clear days and nights, crisp weather, and very cold nights)
    March to May is summer (warmer days and nights but you will still need a sweater for the nights and early mornings)
  16. Any tips on what to pack?
    If you are visiting during the rainy season you would need umbrellas and very warm clothing. Trekking boots and shoes are perfect to explore the area.
  17. How can I book my reservation in Destiny?

    Yes, you can visit www.littlearth.in for reservation details.
  19. How will my booking be confirmed?
    Once your payment is processed we will send you a confirmation.
  20. What is the mode of payment for confirmation?
    You can deposit the payment into our account or you can give us your credit card details.
  21. Will I recieve a confirmation mail?
    Yes. A confirmation mail will be sent along with the map and driving directions (from Ooty to Destiny).
  22. What if I need help with directions on my way to Destiny?

  23. Can my driver stay with me in the resort?
    Unfortunately we don’t have the facilities to arrange for a stay at the resort. However, the drivers can stay at the accommodation provided at the parking lot.
  24. Are there meal facilities for drivers?
    All meals will be served to the drivers at an extra cost. Please talk to the reception.
  25. What is the check in and check out time?
    Check in time is at 12.00 noon, check out is at 11.00 am.
  26. How early can I check in and check out?
    That depends on the availability of rooms. Please call the reception for details. (0423 2900500)
  27. Is there a time limit to reach?
    You can check in at any time but we suggest that you reach by 7 pm to our parking lot since the approach road is rough.
  28. Till what time is lunch served?
    Lunch will be served till 3.00 pm. From 3.05 pm snacks will be served in the restaurant.
  29. What are the documents I must carry to the resort?
    Reservation confirmation voucher, a valid government issued photo ID proof, and the route map!
  30. What are the types of rooms available in Destiny?
    Standard, Deluxe, and Luxury.
  31. What differentiates Standard rooms, Deluxe rooms and Luxury rooms?
    Standard rooms are on the ground floor and are smaller in size and have a private sitout.
    Deluxe rooms are in the main block and are larger in size than the Standard rooms. They have a sitout as well. Deluxe rooms in the annex block are larger in size than the main block. They have a sitting cum bedroom. They do not have a sitout but guests can use the large deck area of the annex block.
    Luxury rooms are the largest. Each of the rooms has a fireplace and a private sitout.
    All rooms come with intercom and a kettle. Heaters are not provided as part of the room. They can be hired at an extra charge.
  32. Do the rooms have televisions?
    We don’t have televisions in our rooms. It is a deliberate attempt to get you to spend time outdoors. There is really a lot to do and not do as well. However, we do screen important events or matches on a large screen in the conference room.
  33. Will I get cell phone connectivity in Destiny?
    Yes, if you are a BSNL, Vodafone or Reliance customer you will have connectivity. The rest of the carriers catch signals in certain areas only.
  34. Does Destiny have cottages?
    We don’t have cottages. All rooms are in 3 Blocks – Block A, Block B and Annex block, also known as new block.
  35. Is there any difference between the accommodation blocks?
    The annex is about 100 m from the main block. It has a view of the mountains and the farm, but not the lake. The rooms are much bigger than the main block.
  36. What is the distance of the new block or Annex Block from the restaurant?
    100 m. The restaurant is situated in the main block.
  37. How many rooms are in Block A, B, and Annex Block?
    Block A has 8 rooms, Block B has 10 and Annex has 7.
  38. How many can stay in a room?
    All our rooms are double occupancy rooms. An extra bed can be requested for all the rooms.
  39. Do all the rooms have a fireplace?
    Only the Luxury rooms have a fireplace.
  40. What are the additional amenities that Destiny offers?
    There’s a multicuisine restaurant that serves Indian, Chinese, Tandoor, and Continental.
    There’s a library, games room, dance floor, mocktail bar, and kids play area.
    There’s a meeting/conference room.
    There’s barbecue by the lake.
    We provide room service. There’s laundry service on request. There’s Wi Fi at Compass Point.
  41. What are the extra activities that Destiny offers?
    We offer activities like Camping by the lake, Night out - Tent experience, Natural rock, Artificial climbing wall, Agri tour, Jungle trek, jeep rides, Toda village visit, and more.
  42. Where does one fish? Can one go fishing in the lake?
    You can fish in the pond at Destiny. Fishing in the lake is prohibited by law.
  43. Do you need permission to get into the reserve forest?
    Yes, you need permission from the forest department.
  44. What is included in the package?
    Complimentary breakfast, short trek, fishing, horse riding, dairy farm tour, indoor games, kids play zone, library, bonfire, and use of golf putting green.
  45. Will someone guide me on the activities in Destiny?
    Yes. You will be given a brief orientation after you check in at Destiny.
  46. Can we pick fruits and vegetables from the farm?
    Since it is a working farm we don’t allow that. However, we have something called the farmers market. If you want to participate in the activities of the farm please get in touch with reception.
  47. What is the cancellation policy?
    If you cancel before 15 days you will receive a full refund.
    Less than 15 days, 50 % of total room tariff will be retained.
    Less than 6 days, there will be no refund.
  48. Will there be any charges if I check out before the scheduled date?
    Yes, checking out before schedule date will attract cancellation charges.
